Charlie Cooke challenged himself to endure round after round against members of his boxing club.
The Christmas Bash fundraiser at Greenside Community Centre, Gateshead aimed to raise money to provide more inclusive boxing classes in the new year.
Union Jab focuses on inclusivity in boxing, as an autism-friendly club.
"We offer boxing training classes but with our kids we incorporate a lot of social training and a lot of fitness education as well," said Charlie.
Charlie was diagnosed with autism as a child and, after a troubled childhood, believes the condition should not stop people from wanting to do sport, with a diagnosis being “not a barrier but a unique asset”.
His classes in Greenside are open to autistic children and adults.
