Case Study: Jill Simpson

1. Before you started working together, where were you at?

Lost my mojo, bit stuck in a rut, spent a while looking after young kids and elderly mother rather than myself

2. What originally made you reach out to Charlie?

Energy, motivation and confidence

3. What did the process actually involve for you?

Accountability, pushing me to achieve much more than I would on my own, if you had told me what we were doing at the beginning of any of the sessions I would have said no way can I do that but you always managed to get me to do it.

Knowing that I was doing the right things to reach my goals, building confidence (jumping up onto the full height box) . Being treated as a person who wants to get fit rather than a middle aged woman! Learning new skills (boxing)., enjoying the process.

4. How did you find the process itself?

Harder than I thought, I thought I would get to a level where it would feel easier as my fitness improved but realise now you always have to keep pushing yourself to keep getting  results! Having to show up (even a little late) meant I stuck to my programme and goals and helped keep me consistent. Also gained confidence as went along so enjoyed pushing myself and realising not too late to learn new things.

5. What stood out most about Charlie's approach?

Easy person to hang out, good fun and approachable, very knowledgeable across all aspects of training (inc nutrition, sports physio therapy , rehab etc) so get a holistic programme and advice. Provides right amount of motivation, just on the right side of the line!

6. What changed as a result of the work?

More confidence to try new things (retrained as an Interior Designer) more confident in my abilities both physically and mentally.

7. Did you achieve what you originally came for?

Yes , more in tune with and confident of my body and health

8. If someone was considering working with Charlie, what would you tell them?

Charlie is very knowledgeable, approachable and fun to hang out with and an expert at pushing you to your limits, so you get the very best out of your training in a time efficient way. He’s also open to adapting and changing the programme if you get bored of one thing so keeps it fresh and interesting.
