1. Before you started working together, where were you at?
I was pretty out of shape and wanted to get fit for a big European trip I was taking with my son. I felt pretty sluggish and tired a lot of the time
2. What originally made you reach out to Charlie?
I'd heard that boxing was a great way to get fit and I knew Charlie ran boxing lessons so I
reach out. I think a lot of women in the 40s lose confidence and don’t like the idea of going to a gym full of young, super fit kids! The idea of doing one to one sessions was really appealing- it also means you cant hide!!
3. What did the process actually involve for you?
We worked on improving my overall fitness, learning the basics of boxing and helping me
to understand my body more. We had sessions that were pure boxing, others that where
circuit training and took time to talk about lifestyle, nutrition and well being.
4. How did you find the process itself?
Some days were really hard, some days were amazing. I loved coming out of the session
feeling almost high on the adrenaline. Charlie's enthusiasm and commitment is palpable-
as is his knowledge and endless facts on life!
5. What stood out most about Charlie's approach?
I've had a few PT in my time but Charlie was different. He has a real 360 approach to fitness and well being. He listens and takes into consideration everything that’s going on in your life. He’s dedicated and pushes you hard. He also cares, which is a great attribute,
6. What changed as a result of the work?
I felt brighter, more energy, fitter and more focused. The trip round Europe with backpacks
on was undoubtably easier. I even did a charity boxing match which was fab!
7. Did you achieve what you originally came for?
I achieved my goals and more!
8. If someone was considering working with Charlie, what would you tell
them?
I would recommend Charlie to anyone who wants to feel better in themselves. We spend
so much money or clothes, food, wine , going out… we need to invest more in our well
being.
Give it a go- if you put the effort in you will see and feel the difference.
